Admission requirements

Intake:
After your registration, you will have an intake interview with our training consultant. During this conversation you can indicate all your wishes and expectations and you will have time to discuss together how you can successfully complete this training.

Study load

The total study workload for the Foundation Coach Training is 22 hours, consisting of:

• 11 hours of practical training


• 5 hours of reflection


• 4 hours of theory


• 2 hours of planning

Diploma and examination

When do you receive the internationally recognized NOBCO/EQA Foundation Level diploma?

You will receive a recognized EQA diploma for the Foundation Coach Training once you have met the above requirements and successfully passed the examination.

The examination consists of:

• Conducting an intake session and completing a total of 6 hours of coaching sessions with one or two practice coachees. You are required to submit a coaching logbook.


• Writing two reflection reports based on coaching sessions with the same coachee, following a prescribed format. Both reports should focus on the same coachee so that your development throughout the coaching process can be clearly assessed.


• Both reflection reports must be assessed as satisfactory.

Become a professional coach

This coaching training is the foundation for applying for your EIA Foundation quality mark from the NOBCO. You will receive a certificate of participation in the GORTcoaching Foundation training and an internationally recognized NOBCO/EQA foundation level certificate with which you can initiate the process at NOBCO.

Do you want to become a professional coach? Then look at the practitioner training.

The luxury option:
You can request help in obtaining the recognized EQA certificate. This makes it easier for you to later certify as an EIA foundation coach. You will then receive 1 hour of extra guidance (for example on your report or a certain methodology). Additional help costs €150 and is often booked by busy professionals who have less time to figure everything out themselves.

EIA Embedded Program

This training program also provides a pathway toward obtaining your individual EIA Foundation certification. After completing the program, we can guide you through the additional steps required to achieve this certification.

What is the EIA Embedded Program?

Coaching is a profession that is continuously evolving. By obtaining an individual EIA certification (EMCC Global Individual Accreditation), you demonstrate that you meet recognized quality standards and are committed to ongoing professional development. This accreditation is internationally recognized.

In the Netherlands, this individual accreditation is awarded by the Dutch Association of Professional Coaches (NOBCO) and is divided into four levels: Foundation, Practitioner, Senior Practitioner, and Master Practitioner.

As an accredited training provider, we are now authorized to award the EIA certificate directly through the Embedded EIA Program. This means that coaches no longer need to submit a separate application through NOBCO after completing their training. With our guidance, you can work toward obtaining your EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) through the EIA Embedded Program.

How do you obtain EIA certification?

At GORTcoaching, you can achieve EIA certification at Foundation level. We will guide you through the process, tailoring the pathway to your previous experience and education. The options are:

1. Complete the Foundation Coach Training;


2. Obtain EIA Foundation-level certification.

What is required for EIA certification?

To obtain EIA certification, you must compile a portfolio of documents demonstrating that you meet the requirements for EIA Foundation level. This portfolio provides evidence of your practical coaching experience and professional development. You will reflect on your growth, demonstrate your coaching competencies, and show how you have developed as a coach.

Costs

As the EIA pathway is tailored to the individual, costs depend on your previous experience and education. To achieve Foundation-level certification, you must have one year of practical coaching experience. In addition to the training program(s), the following costs may apply depending on your background and experience.

• Supervision: €150 per hour (mandatory).


• Portfolio support: €187.55 per hour (optional).


• Portfolio assessment: €187.55 per hour (mandatory; a quotation will be provided in advance).
